There will be times when your PS3 game console will not start. Most games will become frustrated when they don’t know what to do. There are many reasons why a PS3 game console won’t turn on. One of the most common reasons is that the cables are not plugged in. To make sure all the cables are plugged in securely, you need to plug them out and reconnect them again. Sometimes, the cables may appear to be plugged tightly into the console but it is actually not. All you  need to do is to push the plug a bit and it will be tightly connected. If this doesn’t work, you can reset the hard drive. Dust can cause the hard drive to not work properly. Dust can enter into the hard drive through the vents. You can use a dry cloth to wipe away the dust on the hard drive. Overheating may be one of the causes that the PS3 game console won’t turn on. After you have remove the hard drive, you can place it in a room with cool temperature. The hard drive should be kept away from water and sunlight. If it is exposed to sunlight, it can become damaged in a short time. You can let the hard drive cool down for a few hours before reinstalling it back into the console.

Sometimes, the problem is caused by a faulty power cable. To check if the power cable is faulty, you can switch it with the power cable of the desktop. Most PS3 power cables are compatible with the desktop power cable. If your desktop can start after you plug in the power cable, it means that there is no problem with it.
